It's been a matter of a few weeks but I already have seedlings for carrots, onions, broccoli, peas and sprouts.
I'm not sure about growing onions from seed, but we'll see how they go. They are currently in little seedling trays and small pots on the downstairs window sills and one upstairs of our house on the hill.
I have pictures and as soon as I work out how to load them onto here, you'll see them for yourselves.
The window sills have plenty of daylight, although two of the window sills have radiators underneath them.
This is my first foray into growing anything to eat, so I'm quite excited. And as our garden is rather ginormous, it needs filling with stuff.
Ultimately, there will be a greenhouse, but the garden is virgin territory, with a spring slap, bang in the middle of it. So at the moment, because draining is only half installed, everything is soggy city.

Blodeuwedd - it means woman of flowers. It comes from a series of Welsh epic stories called the Mabingion.

Hi, it's great to see that you're into growing food for yourself. We're both keen on seasonal produce and growing some for ourselves, even if it's only a few herbs in pots or some salad leaves. We're keen to slow down a little, enjoy the seasons and smell the roses while they're here. Anything handmade or home grown must be good, whether it's a loaf of bread, a new cushion or a some tomatoes from the greenhouse. Your very welcome to visit us at www.thehomelyyear.co.uk

Good luck with the seedlings!
What does your blog title mean? I assume it's something to do with flowers but I can't find a translation.
